Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer for a role that involves technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability analyses for total systems. This position ensures the conversion of customer or product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions, acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The role involves performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor software usage and licenses to ensure compliance with agreements and regulations.
- Manage a repository of applications, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Issue budgetary Requests for Quotes and submit appropriate Purchase Requests.
- Collect, analyze, and report on software license consumption for forecasting and budgeting.
- Import software information, filter data, analyze results, and report findings to stakeholders.
- Plan, conduct, and oversee regular software license audits to verify compliance.
- Collaborate with system lifecycle managers to plan for current and future software needs.
- Work with various departments to evaluate and optimize software license deployments.
- Identify and assess risks related to software licensing and develop mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and complex processes is required. A Secret security clearance is necessary for this position.
Technical Skills: Advanced data analysis and reporting skills are required.
Additional Skills: This role requires critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and planning skills. Candidates must have effective communication skills and be able to work efficiently as an individual or collaboratively in a team with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and an aptitude to learn new software applications.
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $110.00 per hour.
