Workday Administrator (HCM Modules) - Contract-to-HireNote: This role requires the ability to convert to a full-time employee with the customer at the end of the contract period.

DescriptionThe customer is seeking a Workday-focused HR Technology professional with deep hands-on experience in Workday HCM configuration and administration.
This is an individual contributor role dedicated to maintaining and optimizing Workday functionality, supporting HR cycles, troubleshooting system issues, and improving performance across Workday modules. This position is not strategic or people-management focused; instead, it requires strong technical
expertise and the ability to partner effectively with HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Perform hands-on configuration across multiple Workday HCM modules.
- Own Workday system administration, including releases, security, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and support annual HR cycles (performance, merit, bonus, open enrollment).
- Maintain and enhance condition rules, calculated fields, reporting frameworks, and security roles.
- Monitor and optimize integrations, partnering with internal teams and external vendors.
- Improve system performance, functionality, and user experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Centers of Excellence, IT, business leaders, and vendors.
- Support reporting/analytics needs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within Workday.
RequiredQualifications- 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
- 3+ years owning Workday system administration.
- Workday HCM certification(s) in one or more HCM modules.
- Strong expertise with calculated fields, condition rules, security groups, and reporting.
- Experience supporting major HR annual cycles.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven experience working with and managing complex integrations.
- Strong communication and partnership skills across HR, IT, and leadership.
Preferred Skills- Experience in Workday Reporting/Analytics.
- Module exposure across Absence, Benefits, Recruiting, or other HCM areas.
- Vendor management experience.
- Broad HR technology ecosystem understanding.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
