Description
TEKsystems is seeking a Workday-focused HR Technology professional who can perform hands-on configuration, support Workday HCM, and partner with HR and business stakeholders. The role is not strategic or people-management focused; it is an individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise in Workday. Main responsibility areas include maintaining Workday functionality, supporting annual HR cycles, troubleshooting issues, managing integrations, and improving system performance. The team is open to adjusting the title to better attract technically strong candidates.
- 5+ years hands-on Workday configuration experience
- 3+ years Workday system administration ownership
- Workday HCM Certification(s) in one of more HCM modules
- Strong knowledge of condition rules, calculated fields, security groups, reporting frameworks
- Experience managing annual HR cycles (performance, merit, bonus, open enrollment)
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills (HR, IT, business leadership, vendors)
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex integrations
The HR Technology Manager is responsible for strategic ownership, optimization, and day-to-day administration of Workday HCM and other HR technologies. This role leads an HRIS team while also performing hands-on Workday configuration, governance, reporting, and integration management.
The manager partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence, IT, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure HR systems remain reliable, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities. Responsibilities include: developing the HR technology roadmap, leading reporting/analytics strategy, maintaining system integrations, supporting annual HR cycles, improving processes, implementing automation, and driving digital HR innovation.
This leader ensures seamless user experience, data integrity, and continuous improvement across the HR technology ecosystem.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
