Role Objective:

  • This role operates as an enterprise escalation and enablement function, not as a delivery team resource.
Functional Test Automation Enablement and Impediment Resolution

Support for Niche, Edge Case, and Non Standard Applications
Provide targeted enablement and escalation support for:

Work with product teams and engineering stakeholders to:
  • Document viable patterns for non standard use cases
  • Identify when exceptions or enhancements are required
  • Escalate gaps that require platform or tooling changes
Development & Publication of Test Development Standards

  • Test repository and GitHub structure conventions
  • CI/CD pipeline configuration patterns for test execution
  • Test tagging, execution strategies, and results management
  • Environment aware configuration and data handling practices
Ensure standards are:
  • Practically applicable across diverse LOB contexts
  • Accessible, reusable, and adoption oriented
  • Maintained and iterated based on real world usage and escalations
Knowledge Assets & Enablement Content
  • Partner with platform and product owners to ensure published guidance aligns with supported tooling and roadmap direction.
Produce and maintain enablement artifacts such as:
  • Reference implementations
  • Troubleshooting guides for common and advanced issues
  • Decision guides for framework, pipeline, and execution choices
Out of Scope:
  • Direct feature development within application delivery teams
  • Acting as embedded sprint capacity or side programming resource
  • Ownership of application specific test delivery or execution
Expected Outcomes:
  • Reduced functional test automation escalations and cycle time to resolution
  • Improved consistency in test framework usage and CI/CD integration
  • Increased supportability for non-standard and edge case applications
  • Clear, consumable test development standards that scale enterprise adoption
