Position: Software Engineer 4 - Contingent

Job Overview:
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. This role involves strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement solutions by configuring and customizing scripting for all components of the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) product.
  • Lead complex technology initiatives, including those that are companywide with broad impact, and act as an escalation point to provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
  • Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables using agreed-upon standards and tools.
  • Resolve coding, testing, and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
  • Deliver secure, scalable solutions that comply with defined standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
  • Code ServiceNow solutions within an Agile Framework.

Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5 years of experience with service-oriented architecture methods and the ability to consult clients on such topics.
  • 5 years of experience in ServiceNow Application development.
  • 1 year of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response.
  • 1 year of experience with web technologies such as JavaScript (ES5), HTML, CSS/SCSS, and SQL.
  • Certified as a ServiceNow System Administrator.
  • Required to be certified as a ServiceNow Application Developer within 6 months of hire.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response.
  • Certified as a ServiceNow Application Developer.
  • Certified as a ServiceNow Implementation Specialist for Vulnerability Response.
  • Micro-certifications in Service Portal, ATF, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, etc.
  • Experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or React.
  • 2 years of experience with RESTful or SOAP web services.
  • 2 years of Agile experience.
  • Integration experience with tools like Qualys, Wiz, NVD, Blackduck, and Checkmarx.

Job Expectations:
  • Develop and implement new ServiceNow applications using low-code or out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Develop workflows and scripts to personalize existing ServiceNow applications and automate business processes.
  • Understand detailed requirements and own code from design to implementation, test automation, and delivery.
  • Manage deployment by engaging with enterprise platform management during release.
  • Provide production support as an L3 support team member.
  • Manage API integration with non-ServiceNow applications.
  • Document new or existing ServiceNow applications in Confluence.
  • Possess knowledge of web-based protocols and standards.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Range: $60 - $70 / hr on W2
