Job Summary: Asset Tagging Project Lead
The Asset Tagging Project Lead is responsible for leading delivery of Phase 2 of the Asset Tagging initiative in partnership with the assigned Project Manager. This role provides execution leadership, cross‑functional coordination, and issue management to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to approved standards and governance. The Project Lead serves as the primary escalation point for the project team and stakeholders and is accountable for overall delivery oversight, task execution, and status reporting.
Position Summary:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Partner closely with the Project Manager to deliver Asset Tagging – Phase 2, ensuring alignment to the approved scope, schedule, and objectives.
- Review, approve, and maintain the project plan, including milestones, dependencies, and resource assignments.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members and ensure clear ownership and accountability.
- Oversee day-to-day execution activities to ensure deliverables are completed as planned.
Cross‑Functional Engagement
- Engage required internal teams (e.g., IT, Facilities, Asset Management, Operations, Vendors) to finalize the tagging approach, operating model, and execution plan.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders on standards, processes, sequencing, and timelines.
- Resolve cross‑team dependencies and remove delivery blockers.
Issue Management & Escalation
- Act as the primary escalation point for risks, issues, and scope impacts.
- Proactively identify project risks and work with the Project Manager to implement mitigation strategies.
- Escalate material issues, decisions, or risks to leadership in a timely and structured manner, including recommended options or paths forward.
Governance & Reporting
- Ensure the project adheres to established governance, policies, and asset management standards.
- Provide regular progress reporting to management, including schedule status, risks, issues, key accomplishments, and upcoming milestones.
- Support leadership reviews by preparing concise, executive-ready updates and decision materials as needed.
Success Measures
- Phase 2 milestones delivered on schedule and within scope
- Clear task ownership and execution across the project team
- Timely identification and escalation of risks and issues

- Clear, accurate, and actionable reporting to management and leadership
Key Competencies
· Proven experience leading or coordinating enterprise operational or IT programs with multiple stakeholders.
· Strong delivery leadership skills with the ability to assign work, track progress, and hold teams accountable.
· Experience working within structured project governance models.
· Demonstrated ability to manage risk, escalate effectively, and communicate clearly with leadership.
· Strong organizational, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
· Experience with asset management, inventory, tagging, or CMDB-related initiatives.
· Familiarity with phased program delivery and operational rollout activities.
· Experience working alongside formal Project Management resources.
