Role Overview
This position analyzes actual and model-estimated premium data to identify variances and collaborates with stakeholders to research solutions. The role involves working independently and leading initiatives to drive project milestones and process enhancements. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the team to research and complete the analysis of premium rates, using various tools to validate premiums through analytical skills and treaty comprehension.
- Strategically evaluates issues arising from premium validation and contributes to issue management and resolution with internal and external parties.
- Supports stakeholder communication, training, and ad hoc premium-related projects by researching, resolving, and documenting complex business and technical issues.
- Trains and mentors others on the team and within the broader Operations group on tools, processes, and querying techniques.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in the life reinsurance industry or comparable experience in financial services is required.
Technical Skills: Strong data manipulation skills using the Microsoft Office suite are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in audit within the financial services or public accounting industries.
- Reinsurance experience in accounting, auditing, or administration.
- Knowledge of reinsurance treaties, terms, and conditions.
- Experience with running reports in SQL, Hyperion, OLB, and Business Objects.
- A basic understanding of mortality pricing, assumptions, and models.
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 to $110,000 annually, plus a potential 10% bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) match, profit sharing, generous paid time off, and health, life, and disability insurance. Work Environment
This is a full-time, 100% remote position operating in a home office environment. The role requires the ability to work independently within a team and manage internal and external demands without direct oversight. A flexible schedule includes early office closure on Fridays to support a healthy work-life balance.
