Job Title: Senior Business Analyst / Process Improvement & Technical Documentation Specialist
Location: Vancouver, WA
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise-wide business process improvement, requirements analysis, and technical documentation initiatives. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and leadership to analyze current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategic solutions to enhance organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Process Improvement.
Facilitate cross-functional teams in problem-solving and identifying improvement opportunities using methodologies such as Kanban and similar frameworks.
Conduct organizational maturity assessments, identify gaps, and develop roadmap strategies aligned with management objectives.
Lead current-state and future-state process mapping, including value stream analysis.
Perform root cause analysis and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.
Evaluate business process changes and recommend appropriate change management strategies.
Support implementation of approved initiatives, studies, and process improvement efforts.
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather and define business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, and use cases.
Facilitate consensus and decision-making across stakeholders and technical teams.
Maintain traceability of requirements through development, testing, and delivery cycles.
Manage requirement changes, priorities, and documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Project & Solution Support
Support project planning, scheduling, and execution with a focus on analysis-related activities.
Collaborate with developers and SMEs to align business needs with technical solutions.
Assist in defining acceptance criteria and contribute to test planning and validation.
Identify risks, maintain risk/issue logs, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Provide recommendations, analysis, and decision-support materials to leadership.
Technical Documentation & Communication
Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including:
Requirements documents
Process flows and workflow diagrams
User manuals and training materials
Policies, procedures, and standards
Create and maintain documentation libraries and service catalogs.
Design templates, tools, and reporting mechanisms for project and program tracking.
Ensure all documentation complies with information governance and security standards.
Communicate complex technical and business information clearly to diverse audiences.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with SMEs, analysts, and cross-functional teams to align strategies and execution.
Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Support conflict resolution and drive consensus among competing priorities.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
Experience Requirements:
8+ years with a bachelor’s degree
10+ years with an associate degree
12+ years without a degree
Experience must include progressively technical roles in business analysis, business systems analysis, or similar fields.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in process improvement across multiple business units.
Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives.
Strong facilitation skills for workshops, interviews, and requirements sessions.
Advanced process mapping skills using Visio (including swim lanes and SIPOC models).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
Preferred Skills
Experience with project and change management methodologies.
Familiarity with Prosci Change Management methodology.
Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).
Additional Requirements
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
