Product Design Engineer, Employee Experience AI - Remote / Telecommute

Requirement/Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI, product design, design engineering, or hybrid frontend/design roles.
• Strong portfolio showcasing web application design work along with prototypes or code samples.
• Expertise with Figma, including component systems and design specifications.
• Strong React.js proficiency with working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience contributing directly within codebases and collaborating with engineering teams.
• Experience designing AI-native or conversational interfaces.
• Understanding of LLM-powered product behaviors including streaming responses, ambiguous outputs, and multi-turn interactions.
• Experience designing for enterprise or internal tools used by non-technical users.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.

Experience:

• Experience designing AI-powered employee or enterprise tools.
• Experience with interaction design for agentic or AI-native interfaces.
• Experience designing multi-step task flows and proactive AI systems.
• Experience with AI collaboration experiences across text, voice, and ambient interfaces.
• Experience with Claude API or similar AI/LLM technologies preferred.
• Experience with information architecture and AI interaction patterns.
• Experience with tools such as Google AI Suite, Claude Enterprise, Glean, or similar platforms.
• Experience conducting usability testing and design validation.
• Experience contributing to or creating formal design systems preferred.
• Experience with HR tech, workplace experience products, or platform engineering environments preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve the design language for AI-native employee experience tools.
• Design and iterate on AI-powered experiences across onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, and employee gathering tools.
• Build prototypes and production-ready interfaces using Figma, React, and AI-focused tooling.
• Partner closely with AI engineers and product managers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Design interaction patterns for AI systems involving uncertainty, latency, and dynamic outputs.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on employee and manager feedback.
• Contribute to AI documentation, knowledge bases, and user-facing content.
• Create reusable components, interaction patterns, and design principles for AI-native products.
