Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Application Solutions Architect to support domains including Corporate Channels, Payments, Accounting Services, and Commercial Card. This role involves delivering technology solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. The position entails managing architecture-related risks and driving compliance with established standards, principles, and technology blueprints in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define an architectural vision and solution architecture that aligns with business strategy and enterprise principles.
- Articulate the solution intent, identify primary systems and their interfaces, and define non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
- Work with business and technology teams to shape the solution intent and architectural vision.
- Develop high-level architecture designs and refine details as business requirements evolve.
- Apply best practices and templates to produce architectural designs.
- Partner with Product Managers to plan and prioritize technology-focused backlog items.
- Provide clarity to development teams on architectural aspects and offer solution options.
- Conduct design reviews to confirm non-functional requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 10+ years of experience in Banking or Financial Services technology.
- Strong Commercial Banking domain knowledge in Corporate Payments, Commercial Card, Corporate Channels, Accounting Services, and Liquidity Management.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies, both Waterfall and Agile.
- End-to-end solution design experience.
Skills:- Strong business partner engagement and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex concepts into architectural views.
- Broad IT knowledge including financial software, middleware, and databases.
- Expertise in API design, microservices, and integration platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of application architecture in Java, .NET (C#), Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- TOGAF 9 Certification.
- Cloud Solutions Architect Certification (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
