Role: Senior Network Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule following an initial onsite onboarding period. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite Monday-Friday during their first 90 days, with a hybrid schedule available thereafter.
Compensation: $103,500-$139,900 base salary
Ledgent Technology has partnered with a local employer on their search for a Senior Network Engineer. This position is ideal for a network engineering professional with deep technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise networking solutions.
<>Responsibilities>
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure
- Lead networking projects, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend network architecture improvements
- Manage complex routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated networking issues
- Develop technical standards, documentation, and best practices
- Partner with infrastructure and security teams on strategic initiatives
- Support capacity planning, scalability, and network performance improvements
<>Qualifications>
- 7+ years of network engineering experience
- Strong background in network design and architecture
- Experience implementing enterprise networking solutions
- Advanced routing, switching, and firewall expertise
- Experience leading infrastructure projects from planning through deployment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
<>Preferred Qualifications>
- Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or related certifications
- Experience with cloud networking technologies
- Experience supporting large enterprise environments
- Knowledge of network security best practices
