DESCRIPTION

Sinch is a global leader in cloud communications, and our people are at the heart of our success. To continue fostering a respectful, fair, and high-performing culture, we are looking for a dedicated HR Business Partner, specializing in employee relations & employment investigations.

This is a critical role responsible for managing complex employee relations issues and conducting thorough workplace investigations. You will be a trusted advisor to our managers and a guardian of our culture, ensuring that our policies are applied consistently and that every voice is heard. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by promoting a positive and ethical work environment where every Sincher can thrive.

What you'll do

As our new HR Employee Relations & Investigation Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for navigating sensitive and complex workplace situations. You will:

  • Lead prompt, thorough, and objective investigations into employee concerns, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct.

  • Provide expert coaching, guidance, and recommendations to HR Business Partners and business leaders on a wide range of employee relations matters, such as performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sensitive and escalated employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and consistent process.

  • Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and partner with the broader HR team to develop proactive strategies and training to improve the employee experience.

  • Develop and facilitate training for managers and employees on key topics like respectful workplace conduct, performance management, ethics, and effective leadership.

  • Partner closely with our Legal team to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and mitigate risk.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records of investigations and employee relations cases.

  • Help develop and refine HR policies and procedures to align with our values and business needs.

  • Drive performance improvement processes, including recommendations for best practices on corrective action, performance management, manager and business partner upskilling.

REQUIREMENTS

You are an empathetic, objective, and resilient HR professional with a strong moral compass and a passion for creating a fair and positive work environment.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on employee relations and conducting complex workplace investigations.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws and regulations.

  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to listen, build trust, and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound, unbiased judgments in ambiguous situations.

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, global technology or communications company is a strong plus.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is highly desirable.

Our approach includes structured, competency-based interviews designed to evaluate your skills, experience, and qualifications relevant to the role.
