MERN Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Philadelphia, PA that is seeking a MERN Developer.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) in an agile environment
* Build and maintain front-end components and reusable libraries using React.js
* Develop and support backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
* Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
* Optimize applications for performance, scalability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
* Monitor, debug, and enhance application functionality and performance across the full stack
* Maintain, expand, and scale existing applications to support business growth
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also working independently to meet project deadlines
* Create and maintain clear technical and software documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* 5+ years of front-end development experience using React.js and Redux
* 3+ years of experience working with Node.js and the npm ecosystem in a production environment
* Hands-on experience with MongoDB and RESTful APIs
* Practical knowledge of debugging, monitoring, and improving Node.js and Express applications
* Ability to design clean, scalable, and high-performance code architecture
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to document technical concepts clearly

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
