Summary

What you ve done (must-haves)

5 8+ years in integrations, partner engineering, solutions engineering, or product/integration management in mortgage/fintech - shipping real connections to LOS/POS/VAN/PPE platforms (e.g., Encompass/ICE, MeridianLink, Black Knight/Empower, SimpleNexus, Blend, Optimal Blue).
Hands-on experience designing and delivering API-based integrations (REST/SOAP, webhooks), including OAuth2, retries/backoff, idempotency, and contract testing; comfort with JSON/XML and schema validation.
Strong partner/lender facing chops: discovery, translating business requirements, and guiding external engineering teams to successful go lives.
Ability to create/maintain developer documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger, sample requests/responses, Postman collections) and versioning/deprecation policies.

Nice to havestohaves

Prior work with Encompass Partner Connect / Next Gen APIs, MeridianLink Mortgage integrations, Empower extensions, or Optimal Blue pricing/lock APIs.
Familiarity with MISMO 3.x data mappings in origination title close/valuation flows.
Experience building adapters on iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi) or with event streaming (Kafka/Rabbit) and CI/CD practices for integration code.
Mortgage domain understanding across valuations, title/closing, and HELOC/HE workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor s in CS/Engineering/IS or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows (valuations, title, closing, HE/HELOC) into reliable, observable technical integrations.
Excellent written/spoken communication; comfort leading calls with senior partner engineers and business stakeholders.
