The Digital Workspace Architect is a member of the Employee Experience Technology organization. This role holds authority and accountability for translating End User Compute strategy into secure, stable, and high-performing endpoint and virtual workplace platforms. The position co-owns the evolution of the enterprise end-user computing strategy and partners with engineering teams on standards, platform health, and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise roadmap for end-user computing, including OS modernization, cloud-first endpoint management, and automation.
- Lead the design and standards for Windows, macOS, VDI, and endpoint management platforms to ensure consistent configuration, security, and compliance.
- Champion modernization initiatives such as Windows 11 upgrades, Intune and Autopilot adoption, and zero-touch provisioning.
- Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex endpoint issues, guiding root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Oversee large-scale desktop initiatives like OS migrations, hardware refreshes, and new platform rollouts.
- Act as the primary subject-matter expert for desktop services, collaborating with IT and business leaders.
- Define standards for pre-production, pilot, and production validation across OS, hardware, applications, and security changes.
- Own the creation and governance of enterprise digital workspace architecture documentation, standards, and reference models.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required, with over 10 years in IT engineering and 5+ years in enterprise desktop or end-user computing roles, including leadership responsibilities.
Technical Skills:- Expertise in Windows and macOS in large enterprise environments, including deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Expert-level experience with Workspace ONE, Microsoft SCCM/MECM, and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong understanding of virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Proven ability to automate endpoint operations using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting.
- Solid understanding of endpoint security best practices and relevant networking concepts (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS/DHCP).
- Experience leading enterprise programs, vendor technical evaluations, and supporting thousands of endpoints.
- Direct experience with Cloud PC, Autopilot, modern management strategies, or major OS migrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience managing OEMs, software vendors, and service providers, including budgeting and licensing.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr - $70.24/hr. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, and location.
