SoC Silicon Debug Engineering Program Manager

Apple seeks a Silicon Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the Silicon Engineering Group (SEG) Engineering organization to join an expert program management team driving silicon program schedules and resolving technical issues that enable timely silicon delivery. You will help lead and drive programs involving silicon debug, bring-up and validation for pioneering technology used in next generation Apple products. Not only will you help bring our innovative processors to market, but also influence future designs from lessons learned. This position will collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve silicon issues blocking product development starting with initial silicon bring up through production release and beyond.

In this high profile role, you will be responsible for the following:\n\n- Work on a EPM team responsible for driving technical issue resolution to enable timely silicon to meet daring product schedules\n\n- Drive internal program process to guarantee high quality silicon execution\n\n- Interface and drive silicon issues across multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware, and Software\n\n- Focus silicon team and multi-functional teams on meeting near term work and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with data based decision-making\n\n- Drive technical sessions with cross-functional teams to supervise & follow up issues/escalations\n\n- Focused issue reporting, bug tracking, and communication of program risks & status

SOC / VLSI Chip Design, Post Silicon Validation or Product Engineering experience\n\nPost-silicon debug experience\n\nRelevant technical program management, technical leadership or vendor management experience\n\nBS and 10+ years relevant proven experience

Top level SoC architecture and associated IPs knowledge\n\nExperience with ARM architecture and leading silicon projects from concept to production\n\nPossess extraordinary leadership skills and ability to encourage and influence team members with a dedication to see the big picture\n\nProven track record of managing sophisticated, multifaceted schedules, driving improvements and lessons learned into organizational and team processes and methodologies \n\nWorking knowledge of software development processes and methodologies\n\nCurrent knowledge of pre-si modeling platforms (FPGA, simulation, emulation)\n\nAbility to build effective working relationships across multi-functional partners, engineers and management\n\nExcellent spoken and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences\n\nStrong multi-tasking and real-time crisis leadership skills\n\nAbility to understand and extract action plans from sophisticated technical discussions and translate into succinct messaging for multifunctional and executive status reporting
