Power BI Developer – Power Apps / Power Platform

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and executive reporting solutions.
• Build scalable Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling, star schemas, relationships, calculated columns, and measures.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations and optimize report and model performance.
• Perform data transformation and preparation using Power Query / M.
• Develop business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps where applicable.
• Build and maintain Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, data updates, workflow automation, and system integration.
• Integrate Power Apps and Power BI with SQL Server, SharePoint, Excel, APIs, Dataverse, and other enterprise data sources.
• Develop reusable Power Platform components and standardized application/reporting frameworks.
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate business problems into dashboards, applications, and automated workflows.
• Implement row-level security, workspace security, access controls, data governance, and enterprise reporting standards.
• Develop drill-down, drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, conditional formatting, and interactive visualizations.
• Publish and manage reports through Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, gateways, refresh schedules, and deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot report performance, refresh failures, gateway issues, application errors, and data-quality problems.
• Support production deployments, defect resolution, enhancements, and ongoing application/report maintenance.
• Develop documentation, technical specifications, data mappings, user guides, and support procedures.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, release management, Agile ceremonies, and production support.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business teams across the organization.
