Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will support the Payroll (PMS) and W2 Amendment (W2AM) applications.
Need PMS and W2 and State exp mandatory
Required Qualifications
Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Experience implementing tax updates (VERY important)
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
Strong communication & documentation skills
Proficiency in:
MS Office (Excel, Visio, Project, Access)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have (but powerful filters)
Domain & Systems
Payroll systems (PMS / PPMS)
Payroll Knowledge
FLSA overtime rules
The primary functions of the business analyst will be:
Analyze and document business requirements.
Author functional specifications, review functional specifications with business owners for approval, and review functional specifications with technical staff during transition to technical design and coding phases of the project.
Author technical specifications for interface and conversion software and review technical specifications with staff during the transition to technical design and coding phases of the project.
Construct additional reports as requested to supplement the predefined reporting capabilities of the Payroll module. As needed, work with client report development staff to package and deploy supplemental reports into a catalog available to authorized users.
Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported by business users and others.
Work with technical analysts to research problems to find and implement solutions.
Supplement the activities of the client Integrated System Test team as necessary. The analyst will be expected to author test cases, execute test cases, and document the results.
Supplement the activities of the end users by coordinating end user acceptance test activities or performing user acceptance testing on their behalf, or both.
Run simulations of the business event processing to ensure that software modifications have not introduced errors into the processes.
Education:
Bachelors or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a Technical/Business Discipline is required.
