IT Program/Project Manager Specialist
Location: Full-time on-site M-F in Mclean, VA 22102
Duration: 6 months and possible extensions
Must Have Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as an IT PM. Strong Excel skills, analytical Reports, Data Analysis, and Stakeholder Coordination. Experience or solid background in fixed income finance, financial accounting, and capital market.
Must have prior experience with operational risk management.

Job Description:
- Analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business decisions within capital markets processes.
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare clear, concise management reports and executive presentations for status and milestone updates.
- Liaise with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
- Track project progress, identify risks/issues, and propose solutions to keep initiatives on track.
- Support process improvements by analyzing current workflows and recommending data-driven enhancements.
- Ensure documentation of project requirements, changes, and outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of capital markets operations, products, and data flows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role in Financial Services industry.
- Strong understanding of capital markets processes and data (e.g., trade lifecycle, settlements, market data, financial instruments).
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficient in preparing management reports and executive-level presentations (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) is a plus.
