Job#: 3027345 Job Description: Role OverviewThis contingent role supports moderately complex software engineering initiatives with a focus on building advanced generative AI, agentic AI, and retrieval-augmented systems. You will design and implement LLM-powered architectures, develop high-performance Python services, and contribute to scalable AI platforms deployed across cloud and containerized environments. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on AI systems experience, and the ability to collaborate across product, platform, and architecture teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesGenerative & Agentic AI Engineering- Build and optimize LLM-driven autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, and tool-using agent workflows.
- Develop Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and structured context-management frameworks.
- Architect and implement scalable RAG pipelines, including embeddings, vector search, retrieval layers, grounding strategies, and prompt-engineering frameworks.
- Implement LLM function-calling, multi-step orchestration, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and safety/quality controls.
Python & Enterprise AI Engineering- Build high-performance Python microservices and AI APIs using FastAPI, Flask, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCP SDKs.
- Engineer distributed AI systems designed for high-scale inference, retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration.
AI Platform & Tooling- Use Jupyter Notebooks, Tachyon, and enterprise GenAI platforms for experimentation, evaluation, and model refinement.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and modern DevSecOps workflows to accelerate development.
- Contribute to reusable AI patterns, enterprise accelerators, and responsible-AI guardrails.
Cloud & Platform Engineering- Deploy and operate AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) using GKE, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, IAM, and related services.
- Containerize and orchestrate AI services using OpenShift and enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines aligned with DevOps best practices and enterprise governance.
Data, Integration & Retrieval- Work with vector databases such as MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, Chroma, Pinecone, Redis, pgVector, and others.
- Build secure, scalable retrieval layers, embedding pipelines, and long-term AI memory modules for agentic workflows.
Architecture, Governance & Delivery- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to responsible and compliant AI governance frameworks.
- Lead POCs, engineering improvements, and innovation workstreams with minimal oversight.
- Ensure adherence to risk, security, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building LLM, generative AI, or agentic AI systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, including async programming, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience deploying scalable AI platforms on Google Cloud Platform and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Proven expertise in RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and LLM orchestration.
- Proficiency with Jupyter, Tachyon, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD, and modern DevOps tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive AI innovation.
Desired Qualifications- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and APIs for OpenAI, Google Gemini, or similar model families.
- Experience with observability stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Cloud Logging.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to or co-developing production-ready UI or backend components.
Additional Skills- Python development with GenAI and MCP experience.
- 5+ years of Python engineering experience across automation, machine learning, or AI systems.
