Position Description Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and professional Security Officers to support operations at a healthcare facility in Grand Junction. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and contractors.
Officers assigned to this location will conduct interior and exterior patrols, monitor facility activity, assist with incident response, and provide a visible security presence throughout the property. The role requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct routine patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds
- Monitor activity to identify safety concerns, security risks, or policy violations
- Maintain awareness of patient, visitors, and staff activity throughout assigned areas
- Perform scheduled exterior inspections of entrances, parking lots, and access points
- Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, or hazardous conditions
- Utilize CCTV systems to monitor designated areas and support security operations
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and service calls according to site procedures
- Apply de-escalation techniques when interacting with individuals in stressful situations
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation using TrackTik
- Communicate effectively with hospital personnel, visitors, supervisors, and emergency responders
- Follow all client requirements, post orders, and company policies
- Support a professional, respectful, and customer-focused environment
Minimum Qualifications - Valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Basic computer and report-writing skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a healthcare environment
- Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in healthcare security, hospital security, or related security roles
- Experience monitoring CCTV systems
- Familiarity with electronic reporting platforms such as TrackTik
- Training in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, or de-escalation techniques
- Customer service experience in a public-facing environment
Required Compliance & Training Selected candidates must be able to:
- Complete all required pre-employment screening requirements
- Provide required vaccination records or obtain facility-approved medical clearance
- Successfully complete Community Hospital onboarding requirements
- Participate in New Hire Orientation and required ACT Training
- Maintain all site-specific credentials required for assignment
