Citadel Security USA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Unarmed Healthcare Security Officer to support overnight security operations at a medical facility in Rifle, Colorado. This position plays an important role in helping maintain a safe and professional environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and hospital property during overnight hours.
The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting where professionalism, communication, and sound judgment are essential.

- Schedule: Thursday to Sunday | 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Position Summary This overnight assignment involves conducting interior and exterior patrols throughout the hospital campus, monitoring security systems, documenting incidents, and responding appropriately to safety concerns. Officers are expected to maintain a visible presence while supporting a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on the property.
Key Responsibilities Facility Patrol & Security Monitoring - Conduct routine foot patrols throughout hospital buildings and surrounding property
- Inspect entrances, exits, parking areas, stairwells, and common areas
- Monitor for unauthorized access, safety concerns, or suspicious activity
- Help maintain a secure environment across all assigned areas
- Report hazards, maintenance concerns, or unusual activity promptly
Surveillance & Access Awareness - Monitor CCTV systems and security-related technology
- Observe activity throughout the facility and surrounding grounds
- Maintain awareness of visitors and employee movement within designated areas
- Support site-specific access procedures when required
Incident Response - Respond professionally to security-related concerns and disturbances
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques during challenging situations
- Provide assistance during emergencies while following established procedures
- Communicate effectively with hospital personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders
- Maintain composure during high-stress situations
Documentation & Reporting - Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
- Document observations accurately using TrackTik and other reporting platforms
- Record security-related events, investigations, and unusual occurrences
- Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation
Customer Service & Professional Interaction - Interact respectfully with patients, visitors, contractors, and staff
- Provide directions and assistance when appropriate
- Always Represent Citadel Security USA in a professional manner
- Support a positive and secure healthcare environment
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods during overnight shifts
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
- Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout the shift
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Required Equipment & Training Candidates must be willing and able to:
- Obtain or maintain a duty belt and related security equipment
- Carry handcuffs and a flashlight while on duty in accordance with site requirements
- Participate in company-provided orientation and onboarding programs
- Successfully complete ACT Training
- Obtain Taser certification if required by the assignment
- Meet all client-specific onboarding and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications - Previous hospital, healthcare, or institutional security experience
- Experience monitoring CCTV systems
- Familiarity with TrackTik or electronic reporting platforms
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Experience conducting patrols in large facilities or multi-building campuses
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident documentation
