Role Descriptions: Job Summary:



We are seeking a JIRA Architect to lead the architecture| design| and execution of Jira cloud migration in a complex enterprise environment. This role will own end-to-end Jira platform strategy| including governance| configuration standards| integrations| security| performance| and operating model ensuring a scalable| compliant| and high-performing Jira Cloud ecosystem.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Strategy Define Jira platform architecture and target-state design for Jira Cloud (and related Atlassian cloud services as applicable).Establish standards for project configuration| issue type schemes| workflows| permissions| notifications| custom fields| and naming conventions.
  • Create and maintain platform governance| including admin operating model| change control| and configuration management.
  • Cloud Migration (Complex Environment) Lead migration planning and execution from Jira Server Data Center to Jira Cloud| including discovery| assessment| and migration waves.
  • Perform migration readiness analysis app compatibility| customizations| data quality| performance constraints| and compliance requirements.
  • Define migration approach for complex scenarios (e.g.| multiple instances| mergers| large datasets| regulated environments| high customization).
  • Coordinate cutover planning| rollback strategy| and post-migration validation.
  • Integrations Automation Architect integrations with enterprise systems (e.g.| CICD tools| ITSM| identity providers| monitoring| reporting BI).
  • Design and implement automation using Jira Automation and/ or scripting tools (where applicable) | ensuring maintainability and auditability.
  • Guide API-based integrations| webhooks| and data synchronization patterns.
  • Security| Compliance Identity Implement role-based access control and permissions aligned to enterprise security requirements.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with policies (e.g.| data residency| audit logging| retention| access reviews).
  • Support SSO identity integrations (e.g.| SAMLSCIM) and user lifecycle management.
  • Performance| Reliability Operations Ensure platform scalability and performance through configuration best practices and continuous optimization.
  • Define monitoring| incident response| and support processes for Jira Cloud operations.
  • Provide technical leadership for platform upgrades| app lifecycle management| and vendor coordination.



Required Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience as a Jira Architect Jira Platform Lead in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience delivering Jira Cloud migrations in complex| highly customized Jira ecosystems.
  • Deep knowledge of Jira configuration architecture Workflows| schemes| permissions| roles| screens| fields| issue security| notifications.
  • Experience with Atlassian administration and governance practices.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns| APIs| and automation in Jira.
