Location: Redmond, Washington (Onsite)
COMPENSATION: $55 - $65 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive the execution of uLED backplane silicon programs, from early development through high-volume manufacturing. This role involves managing program execution, stakeholders, and dependencies. The position requires close collaboration with internal cross-functional partners and external foundry and silicon vendor partners to deliver silicon for advanced AR and smart glasses.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal cross-functional meetings and program reviews to align uLED, test, packaging, and sourcing teams, while tracking decisions and surfacing risks.
- Manage external vendor interfaces through recurring meetings, milestone reviews, and joint working sessions to ensure execution against specified requirements.
- Maintain integrated program schedules that connect internal milestones with vendor-committed dates and identify any misalignments.
- Develop and maintain authoritative trackers for program status across all workstreams, producing milestone readouts for leadership.
- Manage a living risk register covering technical execution, vendor delivery, IP concerns, and schedule risk, driving mitigation plans to resolution.
Required Qualifications
Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a technical program manager, or equivalent project management experience in a hardware or silicon development environment. Experience working with external vendors, contract manufacturers, or foundries and exposure to hardware development phases are required.
Skills: Demonstrated ability to coordinate execution across multiple engineering teams and translate high-level commitments into actionable schedules. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting semiconductor programs across foundry, OSAT, or silicon vendor interfaces.
- Familiarity with display silicon, uLED, or related electro-optical technologies.
- Experience managing programs with multiple external vendors and working across different timezones.
