Senior Network Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to support enterprise network and infrastructure environments. This role focuses on automation, operational efficiency, infrastructure modernization, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, deploy, and support network automation solutions
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes using scripting and automation tools
* Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions and deployment pipelines
* Develop reusable automation frameworks and integrations
* Implement testing, monitoring, validation, and change management processes
* Troubleshoot automation, infrastructure, networking, and system integration issues
* Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

Infrastructure Support:
* Support enterprise network, cloud, and hybrid environments
* Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, security, and infrastructure issues
* Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and service restoration
* Evaluate technologies and recommend process improvements
* Ensure compliance with security and operational standards

Collaboration:
* Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technology solutions
* Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
* Participate in Agile planning and project delivery
* Provide operational and production support
* Document solutions, processes, and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
* 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, networking, automation, or related technologies
* Strong experience working within complex enterprise environments, including network operations, systems integration, and infrastructure support
* Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation solutions using scripting languages, APIs, and automation frameworks
* Experience with network engineering and automation
* Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills
* Experience supporting cloud and hybrid environments
* Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, version control, and deployment practices
* Ability to analyze business and technical requirements, develop effective solutions, and manage work independently
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
* Experience working with cloud, hybrid, or large-scale infrastructure environments preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
