Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Cypress/JavaScript)

Location: Philadelphia, PA (4 days onsite, Friday remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join a team responsible for end-to-end functional and performance testing of television devices. This team plays a critical role as the final quality gatekeeper before product release to market.

This is a hybrid testing role (50% Automation Test Engineer+ 50% Automation), requiring hands-on experience in both areas. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cypress and JavaScript, along with the ability to test directly on physical television devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and performance testing on television devices
• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript
• Execute manual test cases alongside automation tasks
• Identify, log, and track defects; support bug fixes
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and stand-ups
• Work on assigned sprint tasks (typically 4 5 tickets per sprint)
• Handle ad-hoc testing tasks as required during sprint cycles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and JavaScript (Must Have)
• Experience in manual and automation testing
• Knowledge of test case design, execution, and defect tracking
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Selenium (JavaScript)
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
• Familiarity with Cucumber (BDD framework)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

• Framework: Pre-built Cypress framework (no framework development required)
• Work Model: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote (Friday)
