About the Opportunity Provide technical evaluations, advice, and solutions across multiple work areas. Identify potential problems and opportunities, assess options, and recommend disposition. Prepare submissions including cost justification, financial evaluation, and technical documentation. Develop specifications, engineering calculations, installation, testing, and maintenance procedures. Ensure proposals and installations meet intended design and operational requirements. Deliver training, lectures, and field instruction to staff as needed. Maintain awareness of operating and maintenance issues, implementing improvements where appropriate. Collaborate with external organizations and vendors to arrange tests and provide documentation. Keep abreast of new developments and incorporate them into equipment or operations. Develop and update operating procedures consistent with safety, efficiency, and compliance standards. Prepare reports, studies, and investigations to support improvements and provide historical data. Review proposals from internal and external sources, recommending changes or adoption. Support procurement activities, including specifications, requisitions, and installation oversight. Recommend spare parts requirements and research programs to improve reliability and performance. Contribute to departmental budget preparation and variance monitoring. Periodically supervise staff, assigning and reviewing work, and providing guidance. About You Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline. 6–8 years of experience in engineering roles related to facility design, commissioning, operation, or maintenance. Strong background in industrial systems, equipment performance, and technical problem?solving. Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industrial environments is an asset. Proven ability to evaluate components, materials, and processes, and perform economic and technical studies. Skilled in preparing clear, concise reports, recommendations, and technical documentation. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross?functional teams and external organizations. Experience supervising staff and providing technical guidance. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
