We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This permanent position is designed for an individual who is ready to take their career to the next level in the Accounting and Finance industry. The person in this role will primarily focus on partnerships and will be instrumental in managing and providing tax services to our diverse client base. The Tax Senior will also be involved in strategic planning and business development activities, ensuring the growth and success of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional looking for a challenging role within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate tax audits for partnerships and small businesses.
2. Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates.
3. Provide tax planning and consulting to our clients, advising on strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
4. Assist in business development activities, such as identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations, as well as potential changes that may affect our clients.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
7. Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax data.
8. Identify areas of risk and provide solutions to mitigate those risks.
9. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services for partnerships and small businesses.
4. Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates.
5. Proven track record of managing complex tax projects and delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current in the field of taxation.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
