Solution Architect - Dynamics 365 Commerce & Retail Systems

Job Summary
The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining and driving the overall enterprise architecture strategy and technology roadmap for the Food & Beverage (F&B) business landscape. This role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions align with operational objectives, business priorities, and long-term digital transformation goals.
The architect will provide leadership and guidance across the application ecosystem, working closely with Dynamics 365 support, development, and business teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The role involves supporting and optimizing Dynamics 365 Commerce and Point-of-Sale (POS) environments while driving modernization initiatives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and technology roadmap for the F&B business domain.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures.
• Provide architectural leadership for Dynamics 365 Commerce, POS, and related retail technology platforms.
• Partner with application support and development teams to resolve complex technical challenges and improve system performance and reliability.
• Design and govern integrations between ERP, retail, inventory management, payment, supply chain, and other enterprise systems.
• Establish architecture standards, best practices, and governance processes across business applications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure solution designs align with enterprise security, compliance, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Support production operations, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the solution lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise solution architecture, preferably within retail, hospitality, food & beverage, or commerce-focused environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, Retail, and Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions.
• Deep understanding of ERP processes, inventory management, retail operations, order management, and supply chain workflows.
• Experience designing enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and cloud-based integration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, system modernization, and cloud technologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders and influence strategic technology decisions.
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments and leading application transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising, warehouse management, inventory replenishment, and omnichannel commerce.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and governance methodologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
