Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager Contractor to support our client project team and drive delivery of agile initiatives. The ideal candidate will have advanced Agile Scrum Master expertise and a proven ability to lead ceremonies, manage schedules and risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders while aligning outcomes to business objectives.


Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Track and manage project progress to plan, ensuring alignment with goals, scope, and timelines.

  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks and issues; maintain the risk register and conduct risk reviews.

  • Communicate status, milestones, and metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, Lean practices, and organizational standards.

  • Effectively manage and use JIRA for daily team execution and reporting.

  • Translate JIRA execution data into MS Project deliverables and schedules.

  • Support preparation and coordination of weekly program reviews across project managers.

  • Partner with leaders to define business objectives, scope, funding needs, and business cases.

  • Develop detailed project plans and roadmaps that deliver customer value and meet objectives.

  • Build effective project teams and foster strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Set clear expectations, instill accountability, and resolve conflicts to drive outcomes.

  • Apply project management principles including financials, scope, schedule, risk, and root cause analysis.

  • Identify opportunities to accelerate delivery and improve processes.

  • Summarize and present data-driven metrics to enable leadership decisions.

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities using sound organization and time management.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

  • Provide leadership without authority across cross-functional teams.

  • Serve in Agile roles as needed, such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Product Manager.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Primary skill: Agile Scrum Master.

  • Advanced level with 6-9 years of experience leading Agile delivery.

  • Proficiency with JIRA and MS Project for planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Strong skills in risk management, stakeholder communication, and data-driven reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive accountability across teams.

  • ship required due to client flow-down terms and background check process.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with Lean practices and continuous improvement.

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership using clear metrics and visuals.
