About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support cross-functional teams in delivering complex technology and business initiatives. This role requires a strong leadership presence, disciplined execution of Agile practices, and the ability to influence without authority. The ideal candidate proactively manages risks, removes impediments, and ensures teams meet delivery commitments while adhering to SDLC, governance, and enterprise risk standards.

This position is best suited for a driven, assertive leader who can operate confidently in ambiguity, navigate dependencies, and foster continuous improvement across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership, Influence & Risk Escalation
  • Drive prompt resolution of impediments, cross-team dependencies, and delivery risks through clear, fact-based communication.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks early, ensuring visibility into issues affecting schedule, scope, quality, or compliance.
  • Escalate with intention-providing context, insights, potential solutions, and action recommendations.
  • Demonstrate ownership in surfacing concerns, challenging assumptions, and advocating for the team when delivery outcomes are at risk.
  • Maintain strong leadership presence during ceremonies and stakeholder interactions, facilitating difficult conversations and reinforcing Agile discipline.
  • Act as a trusted escalation partner by ensuring transparency around decisions, tradeoffs, and process exceptions.
Agile Delivery & Team Enablement
  • Facilitate Scrum or Kanban processes for teams working on moderately complex software, non-software, or support initiatives.
  • Guide teams and stakeholders in adopting Agile principles, improving prioritization, readiness, and commitment for each sprint.
  • Use empirical data and metrics (velocity, predictability, burn-downs) to evaluate team maturity and drive performance improvements.
  • Proactively remove systemic obstacles and coach teams on proper escalation methods to prevent blockers.
  • Ensure teams adhere to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standards, business process frameworks, and risk/security requirements.
  • Partner with Agile Transformation and governance leaders to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a refined and actionable product backlog.
  • Promote Agile adoption across all levels of the organization, reinforcing consistent practices and behaviors.
  • Facilitate and own all Agile ceremonies (Scrum or Kanban).
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner (or equivalent military, education, or work experience).
  • 4+ years of experience working with Scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, deliver difficult messages, and coach teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous environments with a proactive, driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Scrum Master or advanced Agile certifications (CSM, A-CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience working in Kanban environments.
  • Experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
  • Experience supporting organizational or enterprise-level Agile transformations.
  • Strong negotiation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile operational metrics and data-driven performance measurement.
Additional Information
  • Onsite presence in Las Colinas, TX is required.
  • Specific required onsite days may be requested.
