We are hiring a Databricks Admin to join our team remotely (CST/EST hours)!
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Databricks clusters, workspaces, and compute environments.
- Manage Unity Catalog permissions, RBAC, and data governance controls.
- Monitor cluster performance, troubleshoot platform issues, and optimize cost/performance.
- Use Databricks APIs for automation, integrations, and provisioning.
- Support Azure cloud configuration related to Databricks.
- Improve governance, documentation, and platform operations.
- Collaborate with data teams, security, and stakeholders to support platform needs.
Required Skills:- Cluster configuration, workspace management, monitoring, and optimization
- SQL warehouses, Delta Sharing, service principals
- Automating admin tasks (scripts, notebooks)
- Strong experience with Azure infrastructure supporting Databricks
- Working with Databricks APIs (Postman, scripts, integrations)
- Understanding token/service principal authentication
- Managing permissions across catalogs, schemas, tables, and volumes
- Implementing data governance and access controls

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
