a senior Data Governance Project Manager with
one of our large Banking clients.
The Project Manager will assist the Control Partners who are currently running an internal assessment on the data inefficiencies and defects. This candidate must be able to maintain action items, track down follow-ups, help facilitate meetings and keep the plan moving forward with minimal distractions or discourse. The plan is written, this candidate will be responsible for facilitating it.
Location: Hybrid - CHARLOTTE, NC; DES MOINES, IA; SAN ANTONIO, TX
Onsite expectation: 3 days onsite per week
Pay range: $65.54 - $68.54/HR
Contract Length: 12 months

This role is a
senior-level data governance and regulatory project manager who owns data quality processes, facilitates control remediation, analyzes data defects, streamlines workflows, and ensures regulatory documentation and reporting meet compliance standards. They operate at the intersection of data governance, controls, analytics, and regulatory project management.
This is a
senior governance leader who can:
- Understand regulatory expectations
- Manage complex data quality processes

- Streamline and automate workflows
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership
Must Have:1.) Regulatory/Compliance/Governance Experience
2.) At least 5 years of Project Management Experience within a large financial background
3.) Microsoft Suite
Core Skills- Senior-level project management
- Strong data analytics (Excel: pivots, validation)
- Data governance frameworks
- Data quality and defect management
- Regulatory documentation and compliance understanding (Y14 huge plus)
- Process mapping and workflow optimization
- PowerBI (viewing, slicing, filtering)
- Excellent communication and facilitation
Core Responsibilities- Own data governance artifacts (DMPAT/DMPAP, ADMF inventory)
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and lineage
- Facilitate control analysis and defect remediation
- Support regulatory reporting (Y-14, BSA/AML-adjacent, data quality compliance)
- Drive project plans, milestones, and recertification processes
- Streamline and automate manual workflows
- Produce leadership-ready reporting
- Coordinate across operational partners, data teams, and governance stakeholders
- Ensure monthly reporting readiness and control documentation accuracy
Day-to-dayAssist in strategizing, planning and organizing the facilitation around the team's efforts with the Operational Partners that are handling a huge focus around Control Analysis and Improvements, Setting up a Queue A(Double Check System), and understanding the defect impacts of the data. This candidate will work as the facilitator between the operational partners and the data teams to ensure the right data is being pulled, structured and analyzed correctly per their needs. Presenting their ideas internally to Sr Executive directly, they will not be presenting to outside parties.
