Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Hybrid-3 days on-site, 2 days work from home)
Employment Type: 12 month contract with possibility to extend (working on as a W2 employee)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Quality Analyst for a 12-month contract position. This role focuses on enhancing software quality and reliability through robust automation testing and development. The candidate will be integral in migrating applications, building backend services, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality releases in collaboration with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium with Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG.
- Migrate existing Node.js applications to TypeScript to improve code quality and safety.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo and Git Hub.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define test coverage.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, defect reporting, and root cause analysis using JIRA.
- Build and implement SQL queries to validate databases using automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, and integration issues.
- Develop and enhance web user interfaces using React.js and HTML5.
- Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger (OpenAPI standards).
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Demonstrated experience in automation using Selenium with Java, Rest Assured, and other relevant UI automation tools.
- Experience with cloud testing, mobile automation testing, and using Selenium Grid for parallel execution.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience developing feature files using Gherkin language for BDD.
Technical Skills:- Ability to code in various programming languages, preferably Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Knowledge of frameworks and tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman.
- Familiarity with Docker and source code management with Stash (Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of deployment technologies with an emphasis on AWS Cloud.
- Front-end UI experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Compensation & BenefitsThe pay rate for this position is
$50-$54/hour. Apex Systems offers weekly pay. Please note that as a contract employee, you may be eligible for benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401k plan, with an employee contribution.
