The SAP PS Functional Consultant bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. They translate project management, engineering, and financial requirements into functional SAP configurations—ensuring smooth integration with modules like Finance and Controlling (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM).
Key Responsibilities
• Business Requirements & Blueprinting: Lead discovery workshops and fit-to-standard sessions to gather business processes for Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), networks, and activities. Read the SAP Help Portal for detailed PS functional scope and structures.
• System Configuration: Configure PS structures, cost and revenue planning, budgeting profiles, availability control, results analysis, and settlement rules in SAP S/4HANA. Explore technical requirements on C5MI Career Openings.
• Cross-Module Integration: Manage data and process integration between SAP PS and FICO, MM, SD, and PP (such as assigning purchase orders or production orders to WBS elements).
• Functional Specifications (RICEFW): Write detailed functional specs for custom Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows, then collaborate with ABAP developers.
• Testing & Go-Live Support: Create unit, integration, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts, manage cutover tasks, and support post-go-live operations. Review role duties via Freshteam Job Board.
• End-User Training: Prepare documentation and conduct training for key users and business operators
