We are seeking a highly specialized Technical Product Owner / Senior Business
Analyst to drive the development, configuration, and implementation of our enterprise
Linear TV Advertising platforms.
In this role, you will not operate campaigns or manage ad sales. Instead, you will act as
the system architect and product builder who translates complex linear ad sales, ad
ops, and planning workflows into scalable software solutions. You will bridge the gap
between media business operations and engineering teams to build, customize, or
implement mission-critical systems.
Core Responsibilities
Product Ownership & BA Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle,
requirement gathering, and system analysis for linear TV ad tech applications
(Order Management, Traffic, Billing, Inventory Management).
System Implementation: Drive configuration, integration, and deployment of
complex Linear Ad Tech vendor platforms or custom internal software layers.
Workflow Translation: Translate complex linear TV workflows-including
Upfront/Scatter sales, rate card management, proposal creation, log
orchestration, and makegoods-into technical user stories and system
specifications.
Integration & Architecture: Partner with engineering and architecture teams to
ensure seamless data flow between front-end ad sales planning tools, CRM
platforms, and downstream Traffic & Billing (T&B) or Master Control systems.
SME Collaboration: Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for linear
advertising workflows, guiding both IT delivery teams and business stakeholders
through system migrations and upgrades.
Required Experience & Background
You must fit into at least one of the following three hiring archetypes:
1. Ad Tech Vendor Alumni: Product Managers, Product Owners, or Systems BAs
from leading linear ad tech software providers.
2. Media House Systems Builders: Tech professionals from major media
networks. who explicitly built, customized, or owned proprietary linear ad tech
platforms and internal tools.
3. IT Consultancies / Integrators: Technical Consultants or Enterprise BAs from
companies who spent years dedicated to the Media vertical implementing
enterprise linear ad sales/ops software.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Linear TV Domain Mastery (Non-Negotiable): Deep structural understanding
of Linear TV advertising models (Broadcast, Cable, Satellite, Local/Spot TV).
Key Workflow Knowledge: Proven experience building or implementing
systems that handle:
o Traffic & Billing (T&B) and Order Management Systems (OMS)
o Inventory Management, Yield Optimization, and Stewardship
o EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) parsing, Log Verification, and As-Run
log processing
Technical Protocols: Familiarity with linear broadcast and addressable
standards (e.g., SCTE-35, SCTE-130) and API-driven system integrations.
Agile Product Delivery: Mastery of writing technical requirements, managing
product backlogs in Jira/Azure DevOps, and defining precise acceptance criteria.
