Job Description -IT Site Lead

Job Summary

The IT Site Lead is responsible for managing and supporting all IT operations at a designated site or facility. This role serves as the primary point of contact for local IT services, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure, end-user support, and technology services. The IT Site Lead coordinates with regional and global IT teams to deliver operational excellence and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary IT contact for the assigned site and provide leadership for local IT operations.
  • Ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and end-user computing services.
  • Manage and coordinate onsite IT support activities, including incident resolution and service requests.
  • Monitor and maintain site IT assets, hardware, software, and technology inventory.
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and technology projects at the site level.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, security requirements, and compliance guidelines.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives.
  • Liaise with regional/global IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical IT issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to local users and IT staff.
  • Track service performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support onboarding, office moves, technology refreshes, and site expansion activities.
  • Maintain site IT documentation, asset records, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, desktop support, or systems administration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and end-user services.
  • Knowledge of networking, servers, operating systems, hardware, and IT support processes.
  • Experience with IT service management and incident management practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or relevant infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, corporate office, shared services, healthcare, or other multi-site environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, endpoint management, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience coordinating local IT projects and vendor support activities.
