Job Summary:
- Provide technical analysis and support for data center and cyber security network planning, engineering, and design.
- Analyze and implement network and cyber security solutions, recommending efficient tools and techniques.
- Maintain expertise in network and computer hardware/software interconnections (e.g., routers, hubs, bridges, gateways).
- Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment, troubleshooting issues with users and administrators.
- Evaluate and recommend networking products, technical solutions, and capacity requirements to meet business needs.
- Validate enterprise network designs and new equipment/software for vulnerabilities, making necessary changes to mitigate risk.
- Develop and guide advanced technological ideas from concept to final product.
- Review and enhance network functionality, performance, and reliability using industry best practices and architectures.
- Provide specifications and detailed schematics for unified enterprise network architecture.
- Analyze current network device configurations and determine implementation requirements.
- Develop strategies and plans for nationwide network equipment rollouts or upgrades.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for administering monitoring and performance systems.
- Upgrade existing network equipment configurations to support new features and functions.
- Monitor network performance daily, detect issues, and develop risk mitigation solutions.
- Configure and maintain VPN, NAC, Cisco ISE, Cisco NEXUS, and Cisco ASR devices.
- Guide team members and report status metrics to customers and management.
- Provide third-level support and advanced troubleshooting for network problems.
- Offer periodic after-hours and weekend support as needed.
- Communicate technical topics effectively to management, non-technical audiences, and customers.
- Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
- Maintain advanced Cisco certifications (including at least two CCIE/CCDE credentials).
- Utilize extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless, routing protocols, and cloud networking services.
- Preferred: Experience in Cisco Security domain, hands-on with Cisco NXOS, ISE, SD-WAN, and understanding of SAN and cloud services.
