Data Analytics Engineer - BigQuery & SQLLocation: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $54.26+/hour
We are seeking a highly analytical ADAS Data Analytics Engineer to support advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) including BlueCruise and Automatic Emergency Braking technologies. This hybrid role combines big data analytics, cloud-based data engineering, and business intelligence to transform vehicle performance data into actionable engineering insights.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Google BigQuery expertise with experience building scalable data pipelines, optimizing large datasets, and creating impactful dashboards and visualizations. This role works closely with engineering and product teams to improve vehicle safety, performance, and customer experience through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, BigQuery, and Dataform/dbt within Google Cloud Platform
- Analyze ADAS performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
- Build dashboards and reporting solutions using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Optimize query performance and improve large-scale data processing efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support future ADAS feature development
- Support data quality, governance, validation, and reporting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1+ year of data analytics or data engineering experience
- Advanced SQL and BigQuery experience required
- Experience with Dataform, dbt, Python, or cloud-based ETL pipelines preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Automotive, ADAS, or connected vehicle experience preferred
