Data Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with a strong background in Informatica Cloud Data Governance. This is a technical, development-focused role centered on coding and engineering within the Data Quality (CDQ) and Data Catalog (CDGC) modules, with a particular emphasis on data cataloging and lineage. The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive and growth-oriented individual who will contribute to building and maintaining trusted, well-documented data solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines, data quality rules, scorecards, and dashboards using Informatica IDMC services (CDQ, CD CDI).
  • Implement and support metadata ingestion, cataloging, and lineage, including scanning sources like Snowflake.
  • Configure and maintain technical and business assets, custom attributes, and custom lineage within the Informatica catalog.
  • Develop and apply metrics and standardization for data quality monitoring to support business decisions.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure high-quality, governed datasets are available for reporting and AI/ML use cases.
  • Interact with cloud platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Configure and manage Informatica Cloud environments, including Secure Agents and connectivity.
  • Integrate Informatica with cloud platforms and external systems using REST APIs.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-7+ years of hands-on experience as an Informatica Developer or Data Engineer.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with Informatica IDMC, including Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), Cloud Data Catalog (CDGC), and Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Experience working in Azure cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with on-premise and cloud data sources, and configuring Informatica Secure Agents.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, XML, and JSON for system integrations.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
  • Experience with MDM or governance platforms such as TIBCO EBX.
  • Experience with Boomi or other integration/ESB tools.
  • Exposure to data governance concepts such as business glossaries and stewardship workflows.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud environments.
Work Environment
  • This is a contract-to-hire position.
  • The role is remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast.
  • This position involves heads-down coding and provides opportunities for growth.
