Role Summary:
The Senior Compensation Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting compensation programs using data-driven insights. This role focuses on market benchmarking, pay structure development, and reporting to ensure compensation is competitive, fair, and aligned with business goals. The position partners with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide actionable compensation insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy & Design
- Support development of salary structures, incentive plans, and pay guidelines
- Maintain pay ranges and ensure alignment with market and internal equity
- Provide recommendations on compensation decisions (offers, promotions, adjustments)
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze complex compensation data to identify trends and risks
- Conduct statistical analysis to support pay decisions
- Deliver insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations
Market Benchmarking
- Participate in compensation surveys and benchmarking activities
- Map jobs to market data and interpret results
- Provide recommendations on pay competitiveness
Reporting & Dashboards
- Create and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Develop reporting tools for HR and leadership decision-making
Systems & Data Management
- Maintain compensation data accuracy across systems
- Support data governance and reporting improvements
- Work with HR systems (e.g., Workday) for reporting and analysis
Global Compensation Support
Assist with compensation processes across multiple regions
Ensure alignment with local practices and regulations
Job Architecture
- Support job descriptions and job leveling structures
- Ensure roles align with compensation frameworks

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of compensation or data analytics experience
- Experience working with large datasets and compensation modeling
- Advanced skills in Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday)
- Experience with compensation surveys and market benchmarking
