Role Overview
We are seeking an AEM Engineering Lead to architect, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade Adobe Experience Manager solutions. This role is responsible for the overall engineering health of the product, leading the AEM development layer to build scalable and high-performance digital experiences. The lead will participate in Agile ceremonies, oversee AEM tasks and production support, and ensure engineering progress aligns with established roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all individual AEM tasks and provide production support for a pod that manages Static Content requests.
- Architect and develop enterprise-grade AEM solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
- Define and drive the technical vision for AEM development, establishing and enforcing best practices.
- Lead and mentor AEM developers, conduct code reviews, and assign tasks to junior resources.
- Design, develop, and support AEM components, integrations, and applications on AEM 6.5.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven-based builds.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure engineering progress aligns with roadmaps and timelines.
- Collaborate with product, design, and delivery teams to translate requirements into AEM solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of experience implementing Adobe AEM 6.5 or higher. Strong prior experience as a software developer and senior technical design resource, including experience leading remote engineers.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in AEM architecture, Apache Sling, OSGi Declarative Services, and Java 8+. Experience with event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka, REST APIs, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a technical leadership role.
- Strong front-end experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Apache Solr for search indexing and content discovery.
- Experience with Adobe Target, Analytics, and personalization strategies.
- Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service and cloud deployment pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce applications.
