Job Description:
This position is within the Connect Consortium which supports Workday across five consortium universities in a single tenant.
The Workday Testing Lead to oversee and manage the testing lifecycle of Workday projects, including HCM, Payroll, Adaptive Planning and Financials modules.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in software testing methodologies, Workday functionality, and test management tools, and will lead cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Specific Roles and Duties for this position
Define and lead the overall testing strategy for Workday implementations and integrations.
Develop and maintain test plans, schedules, and resource allocations across all test phases (e.g., Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing).
Coordinate with functional and technical teams to ensure comprehensive test scenarios and cases are created and reviewed.
Manage test execution, including defect triage, issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
Provide testing metrics and status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure alignment of testing activities with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
Facilitate test debriefs, progress reviews, and planning sessions.
Oversee test data preparation, tenant readiness assessments, and legacy data validation.
Lead regression testing for Workday releases and post-production changes.
Support process improvement initiatives related to testing standards and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in QA/Test Management, with at least 2 years in Workday HCM or Financials testing.
Proven experience leading large-scale testing efforts in enterprise environments.
Proficiency in test management tools .
Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.
Ability to analyze complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and manage testing risks.
