Lead Software Engineer to design and build an automated regression test bed supporting IVR/EIVA systems and contact center platforms. This role requires deep expertise in call flow analysis, automated testing, and service virtualization, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex disruptions caused by ongoing system changes.
You will convert manual test cases into automated Hammer Call Master scripts, run daily regression cycles, triage failures, and develop virtualized services to stabilize test environments. This position plays a critical role in accelerating delivery timelines and ensuring reliability as the organization transitions IVR/EIVA capabilities to a cloud vendor using Google Dialogflow.
Key Responsibilities- Build an automated regression suite using internal UI tools and Hammer Call Master.
- Convert manual Octane test scripts into automated Hammer scripts through a streamlined UI.
- Execute daily automated test runs and deliver clear, actionable reporting.
- Investigate and triage test failures by reviewing LucidChart call flows and identifying data or flow discrepancies.
- Develop virtualized services/stubs to support test scenarios requiring unstable or unavailable data (e.g., payment flows).
- Ensure automated tests continue to validate EIVA flows, API behavior, and call routing logic.
- Support IVR/EIVA systems and customer service numbers during the transition to cloud-based Dialogflow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while operating with a high degree of independence.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering or automation engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience creating Hammer Call Master prompts.
- Strong expertise in IVR/EIVA systems and detailed call flow analysis.
- Experience with service virtualization, stubbing, or virtualized test data.
- Ability to work independently and drive deliverables with minimal oversight.
Top Skills- IVR/EIVA engineering
- Contact center technologies
- Service virtualization / stubbing (stubbed data, fake test data, virtualized data)
- Automated regression testing
- Strong independent problem-solving
Nice to Have- Experience with Hammer or Cyara
- QA or SDET background
- Familiarity with regression test beds and call flow tools (e.g., LucidChart, Vizio-style diagrams)
- Experience supporting cloud-based conversational AI platforms (e.g., Google Dialogflow)
Role ContextThis role is an addition to the team to support an accelerated project timeline. The environment is highly dynamic, with frequent changes introduced by external vendors. The ideal engineer can quickly identify whether a test failure is caused by a script issue, a call flow change, or upstream system disruption. Strong call flow intuition and the ability to build stable automated test frameworks are essential.
