Service Desk Technician (On-Site)

Overview

We're hiring a Service Desk Technician to join a growing IT organization that is expanding its internal Service Desk and building long-term career paths within the infrastructure team. This is a 12+ month contract with a strong opportunity for extension or conversion, ideal for candidates looking to gain enterprise-level experience and grow their IT career.
This role is fully on-site and supports end users through phone, email, and chat, requiring excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
Shift:
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday

What You'll Do

  • Provide first-level Service Desk support for end users via phone, email, and chat
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Office / Office 365, Windows, and business applications
  • Perform Active Directory tasks, including account support and password resets
  • Create, update, and manage tickets using the ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Support access requests, break/fix issues, and application-related questions
  • Assist with increased ticket volume related to Office 365 migrations
  • Deliver a professional, empathetic support experience with strong people and communication skills
  • Escalate issues appropriately while clearly documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions

Required Skills

  • Service Desk / Help Desk support experience
  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • Troubleshooting experience in a Windows environment
  • Microsoft Office / Office 365 support
  • Active Directory (user accounts, password resets)
  • Experience working with a ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred)

Additional Technical Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Windows 10 / Windows 7 support
  • Hardware and desktop support
  • Application support
  • Phone support in an enterprise environment

Experience Level

  • Intermediate level
  • Open to entry-level candidates with relevant Service Desk or enterprise support experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
