IT Project Manager V to oversee an integrated technology portfolio spanning multiple workstreams within a joint Business and IT environment. In this role, you will own portfolio-level planning, financial management, risk and change governance, and multi-vendor oversight, providing decision-ready reporting for senior executive forums.
Key Responsibilities - Portfolio & Workplan Ownership: Lead and maintain the integrated portfolio workplan, managing milestones, cross-workstream dependencies, critical paths, stage-gate readiness, and ownership.
- Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Consolidate baseline budgets, forecasts, actuals, contingency, and variance explanations. Reconcile Customer Service business views with IT reporting.
- Governance & Change Control: Manage integrated risks, issues, actions, decisions, dependencies, and changes (RAID-C). Operate governance intake and change control for additions, descopes, pauses, and reprioritization.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio rollups and present concise, decision-ready materials to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Vendor & PMO Alignment: Coordinate vendor and contract oversight across Customer Service, IT, Finance, Procurement, and delivery partners.
- Operating Model Design: Maintain the operating model, RACI matrix, governance calendar, and escalation paths in coordination with the PMO.
- PMO Sustainability: Create durable PMO packages, templates, decision histories, and handoff documentation to leave a sustainable operating framework.
Required Qualifications - Portfolio Leadership: Proven experience managing an integrated portfolio with at least 3 distinct technology workstreams.
- Joint Business/IT PMO: Demonstrated experience operating in dual Business and IT PMO environments without needing direct product delivery authority.
- Financial Management: Direct experience in portfolio budget consolidation, forecasting, reconciliation, and value tracking.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex technical issues into clear decisions and actionable next steps for executives.
- Governance Discipline: Strong background driving risk, dependency, and change-control discipline across multi-vendor technology transformations.
- Methodology: Comfortable working within hybrid agile and stage-gated governance models.
Preferred / Desired Skills - Utility & Regulated Industry Experience: Prior background working within electric utilities or heavily regulated environments.
- Customer Service Tech: Hands-on experience with contact center platforms, conversational AI, billing/collections, or SAP systems.
- PMO Mobilization: Experience establishing a new PMO structure and leaving behind a durable, sustainable operating model.
