Summary

Position: On-Site Service Engineer AI Data Center Work location: Warren, OH Duration: 04+ Months Extension: Yes Contract to Hire: Possible

Schedule:** Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (with occasional shift flexibility and on-call support)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced **On-Site Service Engineer** to support enterprise data center and server environments, including next-generation AI infrastructure platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with server hardware, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer-facing technical support. AI platform experience is not required; strong data center and server hardware fundamentals are the key requirements.

**Dell PowerEdge experience is highly preferred.**
Responsibilities
* Provide on-site support for enterprise server and data center environments.
* Perform server hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
* Execute server builds, replacements, swaps, and component upgrades.
* Replace and troubleshoot hardware components including:
* CPUs
* Memory
* Power supplies
* GPUs
* Other server components
* Perform firmware updates and hardware diagnostics.
* Troubleshoot issues involving hardware, firmware, and operating systems.
* Support reactive break/fix incidents and preventative maintenance activities.
* Follow technical procedures and provided action plans.
* Document all work performed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with technical teams and customers to resolve issues.
* Participate in on-call support rotations when required.

Required Qualifications
* 3 5+ years of experience in data center, field service, or enterprise server support.
* Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and repair.
* Experience with server deployments, replacements, and component-level repairs.
* Knowledge of Linux or similar operating systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
* Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Willingness to support flexible schedules and on-call requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
* Dell PowerEdge server experience.
* Experience supporting enterprise data center environments.
* Experience with GPU-based systems.
* Experience with AI infrastructure platforms.
* Experience with water/liquid-cooled servers.
* Hardware build experience, including PC/server assembly.
* OEM certifications or security clearance experience.
