Seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise modernization project within a government/public safety environment.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing law enforcement, government, governance, or public sector IT initiatives through the full SDLC lifecycle.
Responsibilities include project planning, risk management, change management, stakeholder communication, implementation oversight, and executive reporting.
Lead cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, developers, architects, and vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Manage enterprise application modernization, legacy system replacement, data conversion, and web-based technology upgrade initiatives.
Facilitate JAD sessions, requirements gathering, UAT planning, deployment activities, and compliance-driven project governance processes.
Maintain detailed project schedules, issue logs, risk registers, RTM documentation, and status reporting using Microsoft Project.
Strong experience delivering large-scale IT projects within scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards is required.
Candidate must possess excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and multi-vendor coordination skills.
Experience with government regulations, compliance standards, audit/governance processes, and public safety systems is highly preferred.
Required skills include PMP certification, SDLC management, Microsoft Project, risk and issue management, change control, testing methodologies, and requirements management.
Preferred experience includes J2EE/web application projects, enterprise modernization initiatives, and large-scale data migration/conversion projects.
