Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support and administer enterprise virtual desktop environments. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations, advanced troubleshooting, and solutioning within Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) platforms. The position involves working with end users and multiple infrastructure teams to ensure stability, performance, and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Citrix and AVD environments.
- Troubleshoot user, performance, connectivity, and application issues across VDI platforms.
- Analyze issues end-to-end, identify the root cause, and implement durable solutions.
- Manage and support Citrix and AVD licensing.
- Coordinate with server, network, security, and end-user computing teams.
- Work directly with end users to diagnose issues and restore service.
- Participate in on-call support, including coordination with offshore support teams.
- Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer as needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience administering Citrix and/or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments in production. This includes extensive experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues within these platforms. Experience in on-call rotations and supporting offshore or after-hours teams is also required.
Technical Skills: Proven experience with Citrix and AVD licensing models, Active Directory integration (authentication, group membership, GPO dependencies), Group Policy design and troubleshooting, and firewall rules for Citrix and AVD components. Experience supporting environments with high availability requirements and enterprise security controls is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large government or regulated enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Azure infrastructure supporting AVD and monitoring tools for VDI platforms.
- Experience with large, complex Citrix environments supporting a high volume of end users.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to various audiences.
- Experience working in high-pressure situations requiring rapid diagnosis and resolution.
- A collaborative approach to working across multiple infrastructure disciplines.
Compensation & Benefits
A competitive compensation package is offered, with a pay rate ranging from $40.00 to $70.00 per hour. The specific rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
