A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Lead Vulnerability Scanning Engineer
 
Position type: Contract (12 months w/ extension)
Location: Charlotte, NC/ Chandler, AZ
Hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)
 
As a Lead Vulnerability Scanning Engineer, you will:
 
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Lead vulnerability scanning activities across enterprise systems and applications.
  • Participate in planning meetings and guide deployment efforts.
  • Work with Jira in Agile delivery frameworks to track tasks and progress.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning using tools such as Qualys, Tenable, and Rapid7.
  • Support IoT/OT vulnerability scanning initiatives where applicable.
  • Apply CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Provide reporting and updates to stakeholders on vulnerability findings and remediation status.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Jira in Agile delivery environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, others).
  • Knowledge of CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks for vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects and lead deployment efforts.
  • Optional skills in Python, API automation, and scripting for workflow automation.
  • Background in IoT/OT vulnerability scanning is a plus.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $65 - $70 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
